Bath Veterinary Clinic

Welcome!

The Bath Veterinary Clinic is a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Margaret L. Thorp, DVM.
Together with her co-owned hospital, The Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital, she offers a full spectrum of veterinary services.

The Hospital houses 15 Board specialists who practice in the areas of surgery, internal medicine, radiology, ultrasonography, ophthalmology and cardiology. The Hospital is a teaching institution, attracting interns from all around the world. Currently, more than 50 DVMs are associated with and have hospital privileges at The Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital.

This central hospital system is modeled after human medicine prototypes. By working together, the DVMs at the Hospital provide myriad services including 24-hour care, intensive care, diagnostic lab services, radiology, ultrasonography, CT scan, and water therapy. Patients also benefit from team casework and ongoing education for the DVMs.

The emergency medical team and interns see the majority of after-hour cases. Offering an emergency department with an intensive care unit is critical to the survival of patients.

Dentistry and behavior are fields of special interest for Dr. Thorp. For this reason, most of her dental procedures are performed in the office using special equipment with high-speed drills and ultrasonic sealers.
In addition, Dr. Thorp works with an area behaviorist/trainer and with behaviorists at Cornell and Ohio State University.

Bath Veterinary Clinic also offers grooming for patients and boarders, and houses a unique boarding and day-care facility, where animals are free to play and interact. This improves social skills and is an adjunct to Dr. Thorp's interest in behavior. Both in-house and private training is available to patients and boarders.

Our Mission is our Patients.

We look forward to serving you.
