The other half of Dr. Thorp's practice is The MVH. Modeled after human medicine prototypes, The Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital offers 24-hour emergency, state-of-the-art care for your pet. With surgical suites, intensive care facilities and treatment areas, MVH offers the "Golden Hour" of emergency care that is paramount to the survival of a pet in trauma.
To ensure comprehensive, effective care, the hospital employs 15 boarded specialists in the areas of surgery, internal medicine, radiology, ultrasonography, ophthalmology and cardiology. A teaching institution, the hospital attracts interns from all over the world; more than 50 DVMs are associated with and have privileges at the Hospital. With 15 member/owner doctors, 4 managers, 8 interns, 2 ER doctors, 50 technical assistants and 16 front-office staffers, the MVH is the premier facility in NE Ohio.
